In 2026, Indonesia grows 59% of the world's palm oil and Malaysia another 25%, leaving every other producer combined with only 16%. That concentration means the world's supply of this everyday ingredient hinges on two Southeast Asian harvests.

Indonesia's 59% share alone outweighs every other country combined, and adding Malaysia's 25% brings the two neighbors to a combined 84% of global palm oil production in 2026.
